Welcome to our family website. The name Moosearoo was created using prominent animals from our respective countries. Michael is from Canada (Moose) and Heather is from Australia (Kangaroo).

Our life together started in 1999 when we met online. In 2000 two big trips happened. First Heather flew to Toronto to meet Michael in person for the first time. We were making sure we were “the one” for each other. The second was Michael’s permanent move to Brisbane.

In November 2000 we were married and planned to stay in Australia. However, a three month holiday to Canada in March 2002 ended up being forever. It is now February 2008 and we are truly settled in Toronto.
